Based in Ramsey, Minnesota, Connexus Energy is Minnesota’s largest electric cooperative, providing electricity and related products to member residents and businesses. The Connexus Energy Board of Directors, elected by our membership, governs the electric cooperative. We serve more than 145,000 members in portions of Anoka, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Sherburne, and Washington counties.

Scholarship Programs
The Connexus Energy FoundationSM Scholarships
Each year The Connexus Energy Foundation has given scholarships of up to $1,000 per student to schools located in the Connexus Energy territory. In 2023, 63 scholarships were awarded totaling $59,000, to students who were seeking to advance their educational goals by attending a college, university, vocational-technical school, or trade school.
Scholarship Guidelines
For your school or institution to be considered for scholarship funds please completed the online form below. The following guidelines must be met in order to be considered for The Connexus Energy Foundation scholarship funds.
- Scholarship applicant’s parents or guardians must be a Connexus member.
- Schools will used their established selection process to determine the deserving recipient(s).
- Recipient(s) must attend an approved state university, college, vocational-technical institute, or trade school. Scholarships will be awarded to the recipients’ chosen institution, not to the individual.
- For private and/or charter schools the school must be in Connexus territory and a graduating class of at least 20 students.
- Connexus Energy Foundation must receive list of potential scholarship recipients no later than May 1.
