Good news for our members. For the third year in a row, there is no planned rate increase. That’s because the Connexus Energy Board and employees continue to find effective ways to manage costs. That includes some of our bigger projects like solar plus storage and AMI automated meter reading.
New initiatives are helping to reduce costs and, in turn, we are able to pass on the savings to our members. We are doing this while still maintaining one of the most reliable and efficient distribution systems in the Midwest.
The price you pay for electricity includes costs for power generation, transmission, and distribution. On average, about 75 percent of your electrical costs can be attributed to purchasing power and transmission, while 25 percent covers delivery or distribution to your home or business.

Connexus Energy serves 133,000 members throughout the north metro. While the majority of our members are residential, we also serve about 9,300 commercial and industrial members (C&I). Our C&I members account for 40 percent of our energy sales.
