Information About The Red Flags Rule

Identity thieves use someone else’s personally identifying information to open new accounts and misuse existing accounts. This can create havoc for both consumers and businesses. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires financial institutions, creditors, and utilities to implement the Red Flags Rule to ensure the identity of account holders.

What This Means For You

When you call Connexus Energy to obtain information about your account, you will be asked to verify your identity. In most cases, we will ask for your social security number and will use the last four digits for proper identification.

If you are the primary account holder , you must make special arrangements for others, including your spouse, to access your account information.
