Manager, Construction & Maintenance
Connexus Energy provides electric service to customers in a
7-county, north suburban area. We are seeking an individual to
effectively lead and manage our Construction & Maintenance
activities to safely and efficiently deliver/maintain service to
our customers.
Key results:
- Plans, directs, coordinates and reviews work plan for assigned staff
- Reviews work deliverables, methods and procedures to ensure process efficiency and quality
- Provides mentoring and coaching to staff to achieve continuous improvement
- Promotes and develops inter-departmental cooperation to streamline work output
- Establish and maintains department budget
- Provides professional oversight to staff with overall responsibility for
large staff of construction and maintenance employees
Qualifications
All candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- 4-year degree in business management, construction
management, engineering or related
- 5 years experience in construction and maintenance for an electric utility
- 5 years of increasing responsibility in people leadership
- 5 years experience leading a business unit
- Project management and financial management skills
- Understanding of electrical distribution system construction and maintenance practices/standards
Favorable considerations
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
